Well, fans of Jericho should be happy about this, shouldn’t they?
Executive producer John Turteltaub told Moviehole.net that a Jericho movie is currently in the works, and it’s something that figures to give a satisfying ending to fans of the show who’ve fought twice to revive it from cancellation. Oh, and those who’ve not seen the show (which is a lot of people, considering it was cancelled twice) will also understand what’s going on.
“We’re developing a feature for Jericho,” Turteltaub said. “It would not require you to have seen the TV show, but it get into life after an event like this on a national scale. It would be the bigger, full on American version of what’s going on beyond the town in Jericho.”
If you remember back to about a year ago, Jericho fans sent peanuts to CBS to try to get the show back on the air when it was cancelled after one season. Somehow, this tactic worked, and CBS ordered seven more episodes.
Because of horrible ratings, Jericho was cancelled once again, and though its fans fought valently, CBS was finished with it.
But thank god for Turteltaub and stars Skeet Ulrich and Ashley Scott, who have reportedly agreed to come aboard for the movie.
