Bad news, Batman fans.

Christopher Nolan, who you certainly know as the director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, has signed on to direct a new sci-fi project.  He will direct the futuristic Inception before a potential sequel to The Dark Knight.

Inception is based off a script that Nolan wrote by himself, and it is scheduled to start shooting this summer and be released in 2010.

But this shouldn’t worry Batman fans, considering that Nolan directed The Prestige between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. There was a three-year lay-off between those two films, and their figures to be three years between TDK and the third installment in Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

Sorry.
