Loni Love performs in Dubuque on Wednesday and at Penguins Comedy Club in Cedar Rapids on Friday and Saturday.

Loni Love wants her audiences to live, love and laugh.

She’s taking that message on the road all year, coast to coast. She is at the Mississippi Moon Bar in Dubuque Wednesday night, and has a two-night stop at Penguins Comedy Club in Cedar Rapids on Friday and Saturday.

“Live, Love, Laugh” is “just what I wanted to name my tour this year,” she says by phone from Los Angeles, where she’s entrenched in television projects. She’s a frequent guest panelist on E! TV’s “Chelsey Lately,” appears on truTV’s “Smoking Gun Presents: Worlds Dumbest Criminals,” “Kickin’ It” on Disney XD and had her own hourlong special, “Loni Love: America’s Sister,” on Comedy Central and Netflix.

“When naming my tours, I’m looking at what I think I want to focus on for 2012,” she says. “I know America is going through tough times. If I put it out there — Live, Love, Laugh — that’s what I want America to do.”

Juggling all of her current commitments while exploring new ventures is all in a day’s work for Love, 39, who traded her engineering career for the comedy circuit in 2003, after placing second in “Star Search.”

“I haven’t looked back since,” she says.
