Marbin creates a blend of rock, jazz and blues and at the same time changes everything you might think of when you hear the word “jazz.” In 2010, CD Baby chose the Chicago-based Marbin as one of 10 artists to look out for. “The notes come to your ears as if they were from the hand of God. If there is music in Heaven, this has to be what it sounds like,” says The Examiner.

Marbin performs Thursday and Saturday in Cedar Rapids.
