CEDAR RAPIDS – Planet X Fun Center, a family entertainment venue in the corridor, is expanding the fun for all ages at a new location right in the middle of the action on the northeast side of Cedar Rapids.
Planet X announced today they will open their new concept for an all-ages facility in May of 2012. The new location in will be in the southwest corner of the Lindale Mall parking lot – right off of 1st Avenue across from Home Depot.
You’ll find some exciting changes including new supreme hand tossed pizzas, new games, a wild west miniature golf course, and a spacious adult lounge with premium beers and select wines.
This is a brand new concept in dining and entertainment for Eastern Iowa. “We’re taking our decade of entertaining families in the corridor to a new level. When you enter Planet X you get to experience a planet of fun, for kids and adults. Now, we’re not only a playground for kids, but for adults at the same time,” said Dave Full, Planet X President.
Pizza Gallery and Sports Lounge
The new location allows people to watch as their pizza is being made. It will also include a sports lounge, game floor and party mezzanine. The lounge will have flat screen TV’s.
More Party Space
Planet X has always been known for Cedar Rapids’ only indoor miniature golf, gaming, laser tag, bumper cars, and trampoline facility. Not only will you find new games unlike anything in the area, but you’ll have more room to enjoy the fun. The expanded party area sits atop a large mezzanine that overlooks all of the main floor gaming so you can watch your family have fun while you relax at your party table. There’s more space than ever for private parties, birthday parties and corporate events.
