Chase Garrett’s Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano Show – Utilizing two grand piano’s and a drummer, the house will sound reminiscent of the 1930s and ’40s, when the likes of Albert Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis and Pete Johnson otherwise known as “the boogie woogie boys” were popularizing this style of music at rent parties, Carnegie Hall concerts and other venues such as Jazz the Philharmonic while blues pianists such as Jay McShann, Leroy Carr, Big Joe Turner and later Otis Spann were playing in barrelhouses and juke joints across the U.S.

Thursday

South of the Cedar Pub Crawl – The F Avenue Bar District is hosting the Third Annual South of the Cedar Pub Crawl to raise funds for Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity, supporting the organization’s ongoing revitalization work in some of the most flood-impacted neighborhoods on the northwest side of Cedar Rapids.

Beer Tasting with Jason Wallace, Merchant du Vin- The goal of Merchant du Vin is to enhance people’s lives via the unmatched aromas and flavors found in great beer.
