This weekend is packed with fun things to do with more than 230 event listings. There are also 61 live music shows, a few eat and drink related events along with several drink specials.

Beer and Fitness


Mud Chug Iowa City - Mud Chug is a 5K race with military-grade obstacles designed for and by true mud runners. Mud chuggers describe themselves as “an ultra-competitive team of runners, beer aficionados, music festival lovers and party animals who are passionate about these sacred events.”

Comedy


Comedian Greg Warren - Greg is well known as a favorite on the “Bob and Tom Show” as well as from performances on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”, “Comedy Central Presents” and “Last Comic Standing”.

Football


Cedar Rapids Titans vs. Omaha Beef - The Cedar Rapids Titans host the Omaha Beef on April 21st at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. Kickoff is at 7PM. Get your tickets and come support your Cedar Rapids Titans.

Wrestling


U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials - Hawkeye Nation, along with the entire state of Iowa, are anxious to both welcome and champion our nation’s best wrestlers in April of 2012. This competition will determine the U.S. athletes who will qualify to represent the United States at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England.

Live Music


Dead Larry + Jon Wayne & The Pain - A delightful blend of psychedelic rock, dance and funk offers a look into the new generation of musicians and fans. Originally from Iowa City the entire band relocated to Minneapolis in Oct 2011. Dead Larry spreads a positive message to bring out a renewed feeling of passion and hope for anyone who listens.

Festival of Bands Grand Finale Concert - This concert will feature Larry Neeck, guest composer/conductor. Tickets are available through the Gage Union Box Office 319-399-8600, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., or at the door.

Eco-Arts Festival 2012 - The city of Cedar Rapids will celebrate Earth Day with its third annual Eco-Arts Festival. The Fest, held in the New Bohemia Cultural District, will feature local eco-friendly businesses, children’s activities, a 5K “Race to Clean Up Cedar Rapids,” art activities and demonstrations, a book sale, live music by Irishjam and much more.

Spirits of Spring - On Friday, April 20, 2012, the Grand Ballroom at the Cedar Rapids Marriott will be host to the 23rd Annual, Spirits of Spring event to support Variety – The Children’s Charity. The nearly 400 guests attending will enjoy sampling over 300 featured wines, beers, spirits, specialty cheeses and gourmet chocolates.

American Girl Fashion Show - What American Girl Doll is living in your house? Is it Julie, Molly, or maybe Addy? Bring your favorite doll to the event as you and your favorite American Girl enjoy a fashion show that provides an entertaining and educational look at how generations of American girls have used clothing to express their own unique style and personality.
