B.J. Novak will perform at the University of Iowa on May 4.

B.J. Novak, best know for his role on The Office, will perform at 10 p.m. May 4 at the Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge on the University of Iowa campus.  Tickets are available at the Iowa Memorial Union Box Office or on Ticketmaster for $5 in advance and $7 day of show.

Novak is an actor, writer, comedian, best known for his contributions to NBC’s Emmy Award winning comedy “The Office.”  In addition to starring as Ryan, the temp-turned-boss-turned-temp, Novak is also co-executive producer for the series and has written many of the show’s most memorable episodes.

Prior to the success of “The Office,” Novak gained recognition for his improvised performances on the MTV hit Punk’d. Previous credits also include a dramatic turn in “Reign Over Me,” with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle, and an appearance in “Knocked Up.”

The Campus Activities Board,  a student organization centered on providing unique entertainment options to the University of Iowa community, is bringing Novak to the IMU.  Novak’s appearance will be the last of CAB’s Friday Night Comedy Series, which was started in 2010 to bring big-name comedians for a college kid price tag. In the past, CAB has featured comedians such as Joel McHale, Kenan Thompson, Dave Coulier and Judah Friedlander.
