Ah, the sweet smell of barbecue and the sizzling sounds of red-hot blues. It’s a natural pairing for summer, returning to North Liberty all day Saturday.

When you’re not licking your fingers and grooving to the beat, adults and kids can try their hand at games, head over to a petting zoo, stroll through art exhibits, make musical instruments out of household goods, go fishing, get a chair massage, vote for best barbecue and of course, listen to the music all day long.

Best of all, admission is free, from the downbeat at 11 a.m. to the fireworks at dusk and the final band beats around 11 p.m.
