Zombie Apocalypse With Corbin Booth – Join us in preparation for the coming zombie apocalypse! We’ll discuss survival tips and movie makeup artist Corbin Booth will demonstrate how to disguise yourself as a zombie to confuse your pursuers.
Lake Street Dive – Classic soul and R&B, jazz, and British invasion form the backdrop for the quirky and irreverent brand of pop for which Lake Street Dive has become known. Combine this with the unstoppable joy of their live shows and near viral collection of Youtube videos, and you get the sum of the Lake Street Dive equation: pure pop music fun.
Wednesday
Hy-Vee Junior Chef Cooking Camp: Session 1 – Join your Marion Hy-Vee for our Chefs in Training Cooking Camps where you will participate in fun nutrition activities and learn how to make scrumptious snacks! Junior Chef Camps are intended for children ages 9-13. Registration is required.
Iowa City Farmers Market – Come visit over 55 vendors during our Wednesday market and 140 during our Saturday markets. The Chauncey Swan Ramp is located across the street from City Hall on E. Washington St.
Thursday
Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall – The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall will be on display at the Veterans Park in Washington, Iowa June 14 thru the 17th. It will be open 24 hours a day.
LEGO Landmarks – Kids, stop in on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to build some famous architectural structures with LEGO. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We’ll also have DUPLO for the wee ones.
Marion by Moonlight – Crazy Delicious – Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a different band each Thursday night in June. Food is available at 6:00 p.m. and music begins at 6:30 p.m. Brought to you by Farmers State Bank.
