MercyMe

Contemporary Christian giants MercyMe will headline a non-denominational evening of praise, worship and evangelism at Praise in the Park Iowa 2012 on Friday.

The bases will be loaded at Veterans Memorial Stadium with music by No Longer Bound, Bobby Colquhoun and MercyMe. Started by the Central Presbyterian Church of Newhall several years ago, the event has expanded, with a goal of bringing 5,000 people to the ballpark.

People are asked to bring one or two cans of non-perishable food for Feed the 5,000 food drive. Semis will accept donations Friday through noon Saturday. MercyMe is best known for “I Can Only Imagine.”
