Campus Activities Board (CAB) will bring comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) featuring Paperback Rhino to the University of Iowa.
The UCB Theatre is the greatest producer of comedic talent in America today. Now, the Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company will bring the very best of theatres in New York City and Los Angeles directly to the MidWest. UCB has produced comedy greats such as Horatio Sanz, Amy Poehler, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, the Daily Show’s Rob Riggle and many more. When Saturday Night Live or The Daily Show need comics, they turn to Upright Citizens Brigade. This is Iowa City’s chance to see the starts of today and tomorrow live on stage.

Opening for UCB will be Paperback Rhino, Iowa City’s longest-running and most beloved improvisational group. A diverse form of comedy is performed through short-form and long-form improv. As of a month ago, they are now two-time regional champions of the College Improv Tournament and will be going to the national competition in Chicago next March.
The Campus Activities Board is a student-run organization centered on providing countless entertainment options to the University of Iowa community. CAB started the Friday night comedy shows in 2010 to bring big-name comedians with a college student price tag. CAB has featured comedians such as Joel McHale, Kenan Thompson, and BJ Novak.
