High school students can see 'Summerland' for free

Theatre Cedar Rapids is offering high school students  free tickets to "The Summerland Project."  

The theater feels that the production has much to offer from a science, humanities and English standpoint. It raises questions in regard to humanity, science and how the two intersect.

“It’s the story of a husband who is given the chance to possibly bring his dead wife back to life through a very revolutionary medical procedure,” says playwright Rob Merritt, 36, of Cedar Rapids. “But the question is, is it really her or is it simply a really good, fake copy of her?
