The Coralville Marriott Hotel is turning into a winter wonderland this weekend, full of trees, wreaths and stockings decked in holiday style.

More than 30 Christmas creations will be unwrapped Saturday night during a gala kickoff for the annual Festival of Trees, which runs through Dec. 1. The party is presented by City Circle Acting Company and the Marriott as a benefit for the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts. Patrons can eat, drink and be merry to the sounds of the Rod Pierson Big Band and a performance by the Nolte Academy of Dance. Santa, balloon art, magicians and grab bags will be there for the young and young at heart.
