Year after year, a top-flight list of grandstand concerts helps put the “great” in the Great Jones County Fair & Food Fest.

This time around, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Heart get the party started Thursday, followed by Blake Shelton and Josh Thompson on Friday and Toby Keith and Thomas Rhett on Saturday night. All begin at 8 p.m.

You can pay as much as you want to sit as close as you want, from free viewing on the hillsides to reserved seats in the bleachers and amphitheater and standing-room-only on the track right in front of the stage.

As long as the weather cooperates, these are sure bets for the best time around. Be sure to go early to hit the rides, food and beverage vendors and check out the exhibits, free shows and attractions. They’re all grrrrreat.
