goodbye ‘heroes’ (hopefully)

Posted on 31 October 2009 by e.vandril

The New York Post reports that NBC producers have begun pressuring the producers on Heroes to wrap the show up as early as may, which would be a perfect situation for all involved.

The basic problem with the show, which showed so much promise back in 2006, is that the audience watching is set for the rest of the show and there isn’t anyone else who is able to jump in.  The storyline of each Heroes character has been twisted and pulled in so many different directions that it’s impossible for new viewers to start watching the show and fully grasp everything that’s going on.

Because of this, NBC would be wise to set an end date for the show, even though there’s no chance it moves out of last place in its timeslot.  It would give the show new purpose and possibly entice some people who may have bailed on Heroes to return for the end of the once-promising 1-hour drama.

Let’s hope for a swift end to Heroes.
