Eastern Iowa’s singer/guitarist Adam Beck has been working the Corridor as a solo artist. Ever seen him? Go to his show and you’ll say, wow – he can really sing! You won’t be disappointed by his soaring vocals or his precise acoustic guitar playing. His show is always a perfect mix of rock and pop tunes, with a little classic country thrown in for fun.

This 36-year-old Maquoketa native honed his chops in Dubuque, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Clarke College. After singing and playing in several Dubuque-area bands, he relocated with his family to Cedar Rapids three years ago.

Catch his solo act at Cedar Rapids venues such as the Piano Lounge, Daniel Arthur’s, Mulligan’s and Cedar River Landing.

Soulful yet gritty, gentle yet powerful, focused yet funny, he delivers music with a light touch, but is anything but lightweight.

There’s a lot more to this exciting performer than his solo career.

Adam also fronts a show band — The Center Stage Variety Band — with gigs at casinos and music halls in cities like Dubuque, Muscatine and Riverside. Or catch The Shiz, another incarnation of the same performers.

Adam has opened for many national acts, such as Rick Springfield, Billy Dean, Tone-Loc, Richard Marx, Gaelic Storm, Vertical Horizon and even Weird Al Yankovic.
