PHOTOS: I spy, we spy, you spy … at the bar crawl

So we already know you like us (on Facebook at least). To show you that the feeling is mutual, we’re going to make it worth your while to play along with us tonight at the Downtown District’s bar crawl.

The Hoopla Crew will hide our swag at each of the first three bars on the crawl — Piano, Reds and La Cantina. We’ll post hints on the location of our goodies on our FB page. If you’ve ever played I Spy to pass the time on a car trip, you’ll be a pro.

At the end of the night at the Downtown Fieldhouse, come find us, show us the swag and everyone who has all three items will be entered to win prizes — one of which is cold hard cash.

Don’t let the rain get you down. Come on out and join us at the crawl. Registration is from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Piano Lounge. See you there!

The Hoopla Crew had a blast Friday night with 500 of our closest friends on the Cedar Rapids Downtown District’s Pub Crawl. Plenty of Old Style fun and antics had by all.

Baseball bats, Cracker Jacks, Big League Chew and a swimming pool full of packing peanuts and baseball cards. That’s our kind of pub crawl.

The Hoopla Crew went on a marathon bar crawl on St Paddy’s Day. Seven bars. Less than seven hours. Let’s just say, we’re rock stars.

But, so are you Cedar Rapids. We had a serious throwdown at DC’s. Let’s just say there were frozen tee shirts being banged on all available surfaces. And at the Irish District we discovered that Cedar Rapids is full of talented hula hoopers. Who knew, right?
