terrence howard joins ‘law & order: los angeles’

Fresh off being dropped from a billion-dollar franchise in the Iron Man sequel, Terrence Howard has agreed to star as the lead for another billion-dollar francise.

NBC announced Friday that Howard, who is best known for his Oscar-nominated role in Hustle and Flow, will star as the lead detective in Law & Order: Los Angeles. Howard will co-star with Alfred Molina, who was also part of a billion-dollar comic book franchise of his own with Spider-Man.

Jonah Hill told a story about the young nerd who ran a fake Twitter account as Jonah Hill on the actor’s Monday night appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Two days later, more information has surfaced about the fake Twitterer, so let’s roll through all of the necessary information (via Movieline.com):

The correct handle that Hill was talking about on Monday is JonahHill_Jew
JonahHill_Jew is run by John of Arlington, TX, a man who works in finance but would like to be a comedy writer.
John was very, very offensive, vulgar and believable. He got many real celebrities to believe it was actually Hill doing the Twittering, which also gave the account validity.
His first celebrity endorsement was comedian Doug Benson.
Jonah Hill interacted with Jon Favreau with the following exchange: “I’m totally trying to impress @Jon_Favreau by flying my personal ‘copter over the IRON MAN 2 set.” Favreau responds: “Is that why half a sandwich fell out of the sky.”

What Movie Character’s Life Do You Want?

EW.com, amidst the hoard of Academy Award coverage they’re doing today, put together an interesting gallery.

It is called: “Trading Places: 24 Movie Characters Whose Lives You Want”

It’s a pretty interesting list, which mostly contains rich billionaires who fight bad guys, and who are able to (mostly) feel good about themselves at the end of the day. On this list are Robert Downey Jr’s role in Iron Man, Bruce Wayne in the Batman films.

And then there’s the odder selections of Alicia Silverstone’s character in Clueless, and Kate Winslet’s character in The Holiday (which I’ve seen, and actually kind of enjoyed).

But what character would you like to be?

Personally, I’d like to be Saul in Pineapple Express, and Brad Pitt’s character in True Romance.

Not really. I don’t do drugs.

But I think I’d rather take an oddball-type of role than fight crime like Bruce Wayne. Or maybe I’d just like to be Jason Bourne and crack some heads 24/7. That would be fun.
